Eleni A. Papageorge Alexander, Director of International Public Relations and Patient Services
Eleni Papageorge has facilitated domestic and international patient care for patients and families at Salem Oncology Centre since 1997, acting as a liaison and an advocate for the patient. She implemented onboarding to SOC, scheduled initial and ongoing medical appointments, and arranged housing and accommodations for patients and their families. Eleni coordinates care with doctors and nurses and communicates medical diagnoses, options, and treatment plans to patients and their loved ones whose native language is not English. In addition, Eleni has organized travel and conferences and managed patient visits for Dr. Salem and his foreign patients, accompanying him to Italy, México, Luxembourg, and Greece.
